On The Move

Hello there!

Just a quick one to say g'day and let you know I am moving house this week.

Change of Internet and phone provider means our new home won't have the Internet
and phone installed for a week or so. (Say what now?! No Internet?!!)

Until then, I will collect a trailer load of freaky folk to present to you in a Freaky Friday very soon.

I hope you are all happy and well.

- Donna x

Many thanks to Ray Cunningham for allowing me to use this original photograph he took in 1972.
I love it - one of my new faves.

Freaky Friday - Retro Album Covers in The Great Outdoors

After the Comb Over carnage from last week, I thought we'd take a walk through nature.
All you need is some fresh air and a song in your heart.

 There he is! That's him.
Norman Ray - the man with the plan.

I think Chuck took a wrong turn on the way to the
speed dating luncheon.
(Please take your hand out of your pocket Chuck.)

I've gotta say Jim, it's all abit low energy.
I mean come on - you're riding for Jesus!!

Translation - "Chuck! Where are you Chuck? Chuck!!"

Jerry knows what the ladies like.

Raymond's motto was simple - Love me, love my harp.
He didn't make it to the speed dating luncheon either.
Perhaps he could give Chuck a lift back to his car.

Happy Friday!

Who Loves You - Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons 1975

Obsessed with this song this week, and indeed anything related to the
"Jersey Boys" and Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons at present.

I saw the musical "Jersey Boys" a few years back, and the movie twice over the last few weeks.
Once I made peace with the film being quite different to the musical, and the songs not
translating off the screen as well as they do in live theatre, I really enjoyed the movie.

Unfortunately, you don't get to hear much of the song in the film.
Perhaps because the film is based on the original Four Seasons, and "Who Loves You"
wasn't released until 1975 when Frankie Valli was the only original member still performing.
Although, original Four Seasons band member Bob Gaudio continued to write
and produce songs for the Four Seasons including "Who Loves You" and
"December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)" and Frankie Valli's solo career.

It's the 1970's version for me. Great tune!!

Freaky Friday - The Comb Over Special

(Found this meme online and new instantly it had to be my opening pic)

Here we are! The Comb Over special.

Kylie of Lucy Violet Vintage recently requested a Comb Over special.

I hope my findings both delight and fright in equal measures.

The Comb Over in it's natural, retro form.

 The Why Bother?
I mean, really...

 The Wrap.
And this photo marks our official arrival in Freaksville.

 The Filth.
I have no words.

The Fast Forward - why be dull?
Roger runs his own Comb Over race.

Wind- The Comb Overs natural enemy.

 The Paste.

The Pretzel.
Not for the Rookie Comb Overist.

The Scary, Bad, Uncle, Cousin, Brother Comb Over.

I want this printed on a t shirt.

Happy Friday!!
I will be showering and washing my hair several times today.

No need to leave home, allow me to bring Europe to you.

Arlekino - Captain of the Love Boat.

Leo - about to unleash the lion at his 'Hit Parada 76'.

Things that make you go "Hmmmmm...."
(I've leaned in, then I leaned in some more and I'm still not sure).

Count Comb Over - "You vant to touch it, yes?"

This comb over goes out to Kylie of Lucy Violet Vintage who
put in a request for one. I have a Comb Over Friday coming soon.

Happy Friday!!
