MG 1970's Posters & Ads

I have a soft spot for MG's as my dad has been an MG owner and enthusiast since his early 20's.
So I was super excited to come across these great MG Posters and Ad's from the 1970's.

Think I'll add an MG to the vehicles component of my covet list - only after I've purchased my
VW Kombi and 70's Caravan of course!

  1. MGs are so cute. When I was in my 20s, I was a Karmann Ghia girl. :)

I saw an Orange Pop Top Kombi for sale the other day and I was very tempted!

  3. My husband's dad had a MG too and my best friend from high school had an MG as her first car! A red one. She had an early birthday and used to drive to school sometimes. So cool. We used to see how many of us we could squeeze in - I can't remember our record.
On Kombi's, our neighbours have an awesome canary yellow one, it has a sticker on the back window which reads: "Adventure before Dementia" Love it.

    1. I love the sticker! Adventure before Dementia. So cool.
An MG as your friends first car! How lucky was she?!! (Geez - my first car was a dodgy Datsun Sunny!) That would've been so great rolling up to school in a red MG.xx

  5. I have a soft spot for MGs too! My dad also had one so I guess that's where it comes from! I test drove a 1969 model a couple of years back that I was keen to buy - my Dad was trying to talk me out of it saying they are too hard to drive and definitely too hard to maintain, blah blah sensible dad blah blah-ness... And darn it he was bloody right. I could barely get it into 2nd. So the MG will remain forever in my dreams... these posters are gorgeous! anna x

  6. Only very cool people had MGs. I had a 66 Ford Falcon. Hey, with any luck I am going to join the cook off. I have to stay organized.
